The Sliammon First Nation has six Indian Reserves that encompass 1,907 hectares generally located to the north of the City of Powell River on the Sunshine Coast on BC’s west coast. Two of the Reserves Ah_Gyk_Son (Harwood Island) and P’ah_Kee ahjim (Cortes Island) are located on Islands just west of Powell River in the Strait of Georgia. Of the Reserves (IR#1) is the location of the Sliammon Village, where the majority of the on-reserve community lives.
