The Agreement in Principle contains the topics that will form the basis of the treaty among the parties, including rights and title, lands, governance, and our fiscal relationship. Sliammon chose to vote on the Agreement in Principle and the first vote was held in 2001 and was narrowly defeated, 51% voted no 49% voted yes.

Sliammon voted again in 2003 and the vote was 63% yes and 37% no. Sliammon moved into stage 5 of the British Columbia Treaty process. If Sliammon votes yes on the final agreement we move into stage six.
