Sliammon Treaty Settlement Lands (TSL) are composed of approximately 5121 hectares of Crown Land. The land extends North and East from Sliammon IR #1 and includes some land fronting Powell Lake, land with frontage along the West Coast, South of Lund, and land extending up the east side of Okeover Inlet. Also included are lands in the Lancelot Inlet and Theodosia Inlet areas; and an additional parcel located within the district of Powell River located near the town’s airport. Final Agreement negotiations include the identification of additional lands that will become TSL.
The TSL is located in the heart of Sliammon Traditional Territory. The lands encompass primarily second growth forests, rugged rocky outcroppings, sandy beaches, valley bottoms and a variety of both sheltered and more exposed water front. The land is primarily undeveloped, with the exception of some paved roads and forestry roads.
